2018 Harnessing FAIR Data.

A very very brief intro to ants (until 4:15) and to my experience of the benefits and costs of FAIR and open approaches in evolutionary genomics. FAIR stands for Findable, Accessible, Interoperable and Reusable. Slides on slideshare.

2015 October: NextBug @ Edinburgh

Presenting our ant genomics research, some bioinformatics challenges we've faced & the solutions we're overcoming them with. These include our software for:

• easy BLASTing on newly generated custom datasets
• crowd-sourcing gene feature curation via students
• empowering bioinformatics analyses via node.js
• rapidly determining gene prediction quality (including beautiful graphs!)
