Currently researching how the Effective Population Size (Ne) is influenced by eusociality. Founder of the open source project bionode.io ("modular and universal bioinformatics"). Contributor to other open source projects at Wurmlab such as OSwitch ("Simple and seamless virtual environment switching") and Afra ("Crowdsourcing gene prediction"). Contributor to community open source projects such as Dat (scientific data versioning and distribution, aka Git for data) and BioJS ("represent biological data on the web").
